Our Australian Labradoodle puppies are usually ready to go to their new homes when they are about 8 weeks old, however, we do take advance reservations on our puppies and they are often reserved before they are born. We accept reservations up to 18 months in advance, so it is good to plan ahead to avoid disappointment.
If you are ready to submit an application for a puppy, please contact us now and we will send you a link to our online application form and instructions to pay your deposit. You should also scroll down this page to read more about our purchase process.
Perhaps you are not ready to apply for a puppy yet and are still in the learning and researching phase, which is certainly very important! Spending time on our website is a great way to learn more, and here are some topics we suggest you check out...
You might like to attend one of our introductory sessions prior to completing an application. We run these sessions so that you have the opportunity to meet us and some of our Australian Labradoodles prior to proceeding with a reservation. This is a great opportunity to ask any questions you might have, and to test your 'compatibility' with our dogs if you suffer from allergies or asthma. You'll also get a great feel for the temperament of the breed, and you will learn more about the sizes, colours and coat types available. Introductory sessions are scheduled in advance and are run in small groups with several families in attendance at once. Please email us if you are interested in attending one of our introductory sessions and we will be happy to advise of upcoming sessions with availability.
Once you have completed your application and paid your deposit, your application will be confirmed and accepted by email. Your confirmation email will contain a lot of information about what to expect throughout the remainder of the process.
Within that email, we will enclose a link which will take you to the 'Litter Page'. This is the page where all the photos and information about the litter will be published, right up until puppy collection day.
You will be invited to attend the puppy party. We run this party for every litter of puppies to provide you with the opportunity to come along and meet the litter as a whole, and indeed meet the mother too. Please note that puppies' parents may not be available to be seen at other times since the majority of our dogs are placed in local families on our Family Care Home Programme. The puppy party will be scheduled on a Friday when the puppies are approximately 6 weeks old. Please note that the date and time will be fixed and we are not able to accommodate individual visits from individual customers at other times.
Once the puppies turn 7 weeks old we complete their temperament evaluations in order to match them to our clients. You can read more about puppy matching by clicking here.
Once we have completed the temperament testing and completed the matching process, we will email to advise you which puppy is going to be joining your family and firm up the details for collection day! We do our best to take your preferences into consideration, but we will never forego temperament suitability in order to please anyone on colour, gender or other physical traits. At Lomond Hills, we believe temperament is the single most important factor. If you believe otherwise, then we might not be right breeder for you. In the highly unlikely event that you do not want to move forwards with the puppy that has been allocated to you, you may opt to transfer your reservation to an alternative upcoming or planned litter.
You may wish to enrol your puppy on one of our residential training programmes! Lomond Hills Puppy School is available exclusively to our Australian Labradoodle puppy buyers and is a great option for first-time dog owners, busy families with plenty time for a dog but not the initial intensive training phase or anyone who simply wants their puppy to have a head-start before they come home. You can read all about Lomond Hills Puppy School here.
We only accept payment by bank transfer; we do not handle cash or cheques and we are unable to accept any form of card payment. We do not offer any form of credit or payment plan. The initial deposit is payable at the time you complete your reservation form. The remainder is split between an interim payment when the puppies are approximately 4 weeks' old and the balance when the puppies are 7 weeks' old.
The service we provide does not stop once you have collected your puppy, we are here for you and your Australian Labradoodle for as long as you need us. We provide a lifetime of support and will always be happy to answer your questions and offer advice by email, over the phone or in person if you would like to visit us again! We love to keep in touch with our customers and are always delighted to receive photos and progress reports. Our Facebook page is also a great place for you to share photos and stories with us, and indeed other customers in the Lomond Hills community!
