Sable

Sable is unique in that each hair is made up of two colours. The tip of the hair will be black or brown, and the colour at the root will be red, apricot or tan. At birth the puppy will appear to be black or chocolate, but once the coat starts to grow the colour change becomes apparent. Once the dog has been trimmed the black tips are lost and the dog then becomes red, tan or apricot in colour.
